Jennifer Sage, FAIA
Jennifer Sage, FAIAPrincipal, Sage and Coombe Architects | New York, NY
Jennifer Sage has practiced architecture for more than thirty years on a variety of public and private projects. As half of Sage and Coombe, she has helped to build a portfolio of public, private and commercial work. Clients include the Noguchi Foundation and Garden Museum, St. Francis College, the Buckley School, the City and Country School, the New York Public Library, the FDNY and the City of Newark, NJ. Selected for Design Excellence initiatives with both the New York City Departments of Design and Construction and Parks and Recreation, she has directed work in all five city boroughs including the Ocean Breeze Track and Field House in Staten Island.

Jennifer has juried at Yale, Harvard, Carnegie Mellon, RISD and Catholic University where she taught in their honors studio program in Rome.

The work of Sage and Coombe has been honored with multiple awards from the New York City, State, and Borough chapters of the AIA and the New York City Public Design Commission. Jennifer Sage serves as co-chair of the Exhibitions Committee at the Center for Architecture and on the Board of the New York Chapter of the American Institute of Architects as the Vice President for Design Excellence.

Mark Cavagnero, FAIA

As the founding principal of the firm, Mark provides leadership over the design of all projects within the office. Whether a project is designed solely by Mark, or a collaboration with another firm, Mark is adept at leading the team to make decisions that reinforce the original design intent. Mark brings over three decades of expertise in the planning, design and construction of civic and cultural facilities and his efforts in the process will aid in the creation spaces that are inspiring, functional, durable and well-detailed. Mark’s work has been recognized with over 100 design awards for more than 30 completed projects. Mark was personally honored with the 2015 lifetime achievement Maybeck Award and the 2010 Distinguished Practice Award from the AIA California Council. Under Mark’s leadership the firm ranked #8 in Architect magazine’s ranking of the top architecture firms in the country for design in 2014. The firm also received the 2012 Firm of the Year Award from the AIA California Council.
Brad Tomecek, AIA
Brad Tomecek, AIAPrincipal, Tomecek Studio Architecture | Denver, CO
The founder of Tomecek Studio Architecture, Brad graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Design and Masters of Architecture. He worked in smaller award winning firms in Colorado and Florida before launching the studio. His work has been featured in Architectural Record, Architect, Builder Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, international books and local magazines.

Brad is actively involved with the local AIA and serves on the AIA Denver Board of Directors. His outreach takes the form of speaking nationally on methods and manifestation of meaningful projects. Currently Brad combines practice with teaching at the University of Colorado. His explorations blur the boundaries between poetic solutions and innovative building systems. He has been presented with over 45 AIA awards including the AIA National Young Architect Award, the AIA Denver Medal of Achievement and his firm recently received the AIA Colorado Innovative Practice honor award.
