In November, the Georgia State Codes Advisory Committee voted to table adoption of the new energy code until its February 28^th, 2018 meeting. We have until 02|01|2018 to make submittals on the energy code to the SCAC. The DCA has also started task forces to review the 2018 IBC and 2018 IRC. Each of these efforts will directly affect architects so we’re gathering by webinar to discuss how to be involved in each effort. You’ll have access to our representatives on each task force and we’ll make a call for amendment proposals – we’ll ask what you’d like to address in the code so we can work with you to introduce those issues for consideration of the SCAC and task forces.
