2019 Honor Awards Nominations

Nominations are open for the 2019 AIA Georgia Honor Awards! This program is part of a long-standing tradition of recognizing individuals and organizations for their outstanding achievements in support of the profession of architecture and the AIA.

Winners were revealed at the AIA Georgia Design Awards on April 27, 2019. Hosted at Ponce City Market in Midtown, the event is our most-attended of the year, uniting a diverse audience of those passionate about great design and outstanding architects and future designers.

2019 Winners

Bernard B. Rothschild FAIA Award

The Rothschild Award is the highest honor that AIA Georgia can bestow on an individual, alive or deceased. This award is in honor of Bernard B. Rothschild FAIA who served the profession at many levels through his leadership and active participation throughout his career. The award is awarded in recognition of the most distinguished service to the profession of Architecture in the State of Georgia by an architect who exemplifies the principles of the profession.


AIA Georgia Architecture Firm Award

Any firm located in Georgia, or the Georgia office of a firm with multiple locations, whether an individual or an organization of architects, in which the continuing collaboration among individuals of the firm, or successor firm, has resulted in the consistent producing of distinguished architecture and professionalism for a period of at least 10 years from the Georgia office.


AIA Georgia Emerging Professional Award

This award honors a young AIA or Associate AIA member (initial date of licensure in any US jurisdiction is less than 10 years and not more than 15 years after graduation) residing and licensed to practice architecture in Georgia who has made a positive impact in the architecture profession


AIA Georgia Bronze Medal Award

The Bronze Medal recognizes an individual or organization that uses his/ her/its insights, talents, training, and experience to contribute meaningfully to the objectives of the American Institute of Architects.
