The architecture profession continues to evolve and so must the programs that support the path to licensure. Who better to weigh in on the experience requirement than you, an intern completing the Intern Development Program (IDP) or taking the Architect Registration Examination (ARE)?

The National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) is now accepting applications for volunteer emerging professionals to serve on the 2015 Intern Think Tank! This is your chance to bring your voice to the conversation about the future of internship and licensure.

 Who: 12 interns
 When: Fall 2015
 Where: Washington, DC
 What:

Will analyze the real-world implementation and effectiveness of the current licensure process, explore blue-sky ideas related to the entire licensure concept, and share suggestions with NCARB leadership.

Deadline: Thursday, March 5 at 3 p.m. EST

Make a Difference

Since 2012, NCARB has convened three Intern Think Tank groups. Each group of 12 interns has explored different aspects of internship, licensure, and ways of engaging supervisors. The work done by these groups helps inform the development of NCARB programs and Model Law.

Qualifications

  • Unlicensed at the time of application.
  • Have at least 320 hours of approved IDP experience and an active NCARB Record.
  • Available to travel to Washington, DC, in fall 2015. All related expenses will be covered per a standard NCARB travel policy.
  • Willingness and ability to participate in approximately five (5) conference calls.
  • Willingness and ability to conduct up to 10 hours of research over the next year.

  • A reference may be requested prior to selection.
