Associate AIA membership is open to individuals who meet any of the following criteria:

  • Professional degree in architecture
  • Currently work under the supervision of an architect
  • Currently enrolled in the Intern Development Program (IDP) and working toward licensure
  • Faculty member in a university program in architecture

Individuals currently enrolled in an architecture or architecture-related program at a local institution. 2017 Annual Dues Calculator

Membership is tri-level.

Applicants are required to join at the National, State and Local levels.

Dues for local chapters vary – please refer to the dues calculator below for 2017 Total Dues rates by chapter:

Please note: AIA assigns members to Local chapters based on their zip code. Architect fixed dues are $265 for National and $205 for Georgia. Associate fixed dues are $114 for National and $75 for Georgia.

October 1, 2016-December 2016 “15 for 12” Special Begins
Join now and your dues are good through December 2017.

January-March, 2017
Return completed application with 2017 dues payment and proof of license (if applicable).

April-June, 2017
Return completed application with 75% of 2017 dues amount indicated and proof of license (if applicable).

July-October 1, 2017
Return completed application with 50% of 2017 dues amount indicated and proof of license (if applicable).

October-December 2017 “15 for 12” Special Begins
