Join the AIA Georgia Board of Directors…

Leadership and influence in the architecture profession transcends the pursuit of design excellence. It involves stepping up and embracing leadership beyond the professional practice. Watch-guarding for, and influencing issues and policies that affect the future of our profession are obligations we all share. We are united by this cause which ultimately protects the future of our profession and enables us to provide the highest level of service to our clients.

AIA Georgia’s mission is advocacy, but we’re also about fellowship, networking, and fostering the development of young architects.

One of the best vehicles to support this mission is through participation on the AIA Georgia Board of Directors. We invite and encourage our members throughout the state to submit nominations for current open Board positions, and to help AIA Georgia continue its long tradition of strong leadership and vision – much needed in today’s dynamic and changing business and political environment. We look forward to hearing from you in the coming weeks.

All Board Directors have the fundamental responsibilities of:

a) Setting the strategic vision for AIA Georgia, and working with other board members and staff to set the scope of activities of the organization.

b) Providing fiscal and fiduciary oversight of AIA Georgia, and ensuring that the organization is utilizing its resources – both staff and financial – in ways consistent with the strategic vision and scope of work.

c) Acting as the public face of AIA Georgia, attending public events, meetings, etc., as needed by the organization.
